(1) Determine the inner diameter size and specifications of the YO circle

The calendar with no leather case, desk calendar, the inner diameter of the YO circle used should be the thickness of the cover + text plus 3 ~ 4mm; the calendar with gray board, desk calendar, the inner diameter of the YO circle used should be the cover + The thickness of the text is further increased by 4 to 6 mm.

The maximum inner diameter of the conventional YO ring is 25.4mm, which is 1 inch. The material supplier usually uses the proportional method to express the specification, that is, 25.4mm16 aliquot, the inner diameter of 25.4mm YO circle is 16/16, other common YO The ring specifications are also 5/16, 6/16 (3/8), 7/16, 8/16 (1/2), 9/16, 10/16 (5/8), 12/16 (3/4) ), 14/16 (7/8), etc.

For example, the cover of the desk calendar + the thickness of the text is 10mm. If there is no gray board, the YO circle with the inner diameter of 13~14mm should be selected. The corresponding specification is 14/25.4≈8.82/16≈9/16 (usually take the larger inner diameter value). Calculation).

It should be noted that if the customer has other requirements for the size of the YO circle, then after calculation and verification, select the YO circle that is suitable in size and satisfactory to the customer, and if necessary, make a white sample confirmation.

(2) Determine the number of holes in the YO circle

The formula for calculating the number of holes for the YO circle is 9/16 and below: N=[(L-9)/25.4]×3+0.5 (the number obtained after subtracting the decimal point is directly rounded); Specifications of the YO circle The formula for calculating the number of holes of 5/8 and above is: N = [(L - 10) / 25.4] × 2 + 0.5 (the obtained value is directly rounded off after the decimal point is removed). Among them, N is the number of holes in the YO circle. In the case where the customer does not require the calendar, the desk is worn on both sides of the YO circle, and the gap is left, and the hole is not punched, L is the length of the side; if the customer requests a certain blank on both sides of the YO circle, Then L is the length of the YO circle.

For example, a desk calendar with a width of 200mm and a height of 220mm is punched in the direction of 200mm. If there is no special requirement, the formula for calculating the number of holes in the YO circle is L=200mm; if it is required to leave 15mm in the direction of 200mm, Punching, YO circle is centered, then the formula for calculating the number of holes in the YO circle is L=(200-15×2)=170mm. After calculation, it will be found that the size of the unpunched holes on both sides becomes 17mm after the actual punching. This is inevitable and requires communication with customers.
