New national standard release: performance requirements for LED desk lamps

According to the "National Standards of the People's Republic of China Announcement No. 23 of 2017" issued by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine and the National Standards Committee, the newly revised Recommended National Standard GB/T 9473-2017 "Performance Requirements for Reading and Writing Table Lamps" will be released. Implemented on April 1, 2018, will replace GB/T9473-2008. This standard specifies the performance requirements of a reading and writing table lamp with a tungsten lamp, a fluorescent lamp or an LED as a light source and a power supply voltage not exceeding 250V. It is suitable for desk lamps for reading and writing lighting and desk lamps for claiming eye protection in homes, classrooms and the like. The standard drafting unit: National Lighting Quality Supervision and Inspection Center, Zhejiang Sunlight Lighting Electric Group Co., Ltd., Zhongshan Guangyang Electric Co., Ltd., Shanghai Sansi Technology Development Co., Ltd., Foshan Lisheng Photoelectric Co., Ltd., National Electric Light Source Quality Supervision and Inspection Center (Shanghai), Shanghai Times Light Lighting Appliance Testing Co., Ltd. The main drafters of the standard: Wang Wei, Zheng Dong, Chen Shaoqi, Xu Li, Wang Qingping, Yang Wei, Liu Lei. In addition, another LED national standard GB/T 34428.3-2017 "Highway monitoring facilities communication procedures Part 3: LED variable information signs" will also be implemented on April 1, 2018.
