GLII Comments: Since the introduction of OLED lighting products by OSRAM in 2008, Toshiba, Konica and many other international lighting manufacturers have developed or launched OLED lighting products. However, compared with LED lighting products, OLED lighting products are currently subject to low acceptance due to unfavorable factors such as high price and short life. In the future for a long time, OLED lighting wants to shake the market position of LED lighting, it is difficult! When it comes to OLEDs, people usually think of mobile phone screens or TV panels. LG G Flex and Samsung Galaxy S5 are all mobile phones with OLED screens. According to reports, at this year's Frankfurt Lighting Fair in Germany, LG will soon showcase the world's first table lamp with a curved OLED panel as its light source - "OLED Table Lamp".
This table lamp has a lot of flowing lines, and it is red and modern. The feature of the "OLED Table Lamp" is that it is also a smart hardware that allows users to remotely control the lighting and adjust the brightness using an iPhone or Android device. Users can also customize the lighting mode of the desk lamp, including Movie (Movie Mode) and Relax (Relax Mode).
The OLED consists of an organic thin layer system (about 200-500 nm thick) between two electrode layers. This wide-area source is printed on a glass substrate with a thickness of less than 2 mm. When a voltage is applied, light is generated in the organic thin layer system and emitted through an electrode layer.
Compared with traditional light sources, OLED lighting modules emit wide-area light with high color rendering quality, making the human eye feel very comfortable. Another advantage is that the light emitted by the OLED is glare free. This means that OLEDs do not require reflectors to reduce glare. Therefore, OLED lighting modules are one of the most efficient light sources. It is believed that with the entry of display panel manufacturers such as LG, the lighting industry can usher in a new revolution.
