Infineon Enhances Light Desk Online Solution Support for LED Drivers

Infineon Technologies has enhanced its Light Desk online design solutions to add more features and support to the new line of AC/DC off-line LED drivers.

Infineon Light Desk is an interactive design and verification environment designed in the cloud to select and configure LED driver ICs for a variety of applications. Design engineers can use the Infineon Light Desk to find the LED driver ICs they need for their specific system needs. This tool creates a custom design for the selected LED driver and displays it in an interactive web configuration. Users can analyze the design performance through a system simulation model based on Transim WebSIM remote simulation technology.

The user can optimize the proposed LED driver design with the redesign features provided. Infineon Light Desk can immediately download a bill of materials for the final design or download a complete design summary including design data, configuration and simulation results. In addition to storing designs for future reference, users can collaborate with other users in a secure, shared work environment.

In addition, the tool also provides SimT, an offline simulator for SIMetrix/SIMPLIS signal simulation software, which allows users to perform reference designs offline, thereby reducing simulation time. Users can also download simulators directly from Infineon Light Desk. Infineon Light Desk has supported the new high-power DC/DC LED driver ICs (ILD series) for general lighting applications, as well as custom designs for linear LED driver ICs (BCR3x and BCR4x series).
