Does the boss change your desk? Maybe it is to see if you are lazy?

Scientific and technological developments, according to Business Insider website reported, Herman Miller Aeron office chair is the production of high-tech work environment of a furniture. The Wired article stated that when it was released in 1994, Aeron looked different from other office furniture - not design but technical. The CEOs of startups and large technology companies, including Mark Zuckerberg, gave Aeron a high rating.

Business Insider said that now, Herman Miller has taken aim at other office furniture, hoping that they can be as high-tech as their office chairs. On Monday, local time, it announced a series of smart office furniture, using sensors to understand the use of office space.
These sensors send data to software called the Live OS. The Live OS shows the exact time employees are working at their desks on a control panel, and whether they need to stand up and move, or which desks are currently in use.
Herman Miller's office furniture is particularly useful for startups and high-tech companies that do not have a fixed desk for every employee.
Business Insider stated that Herman Miller sold Live OS sensors for about $100 (about RMB 680) to help customers transform existing office furniture. However, when the office is equipped with Herman Miller's new standing desk, the advantages of this system can truly be reflected. With an app, employees can set a desk height that they like, or remind themselves to change their posture.
According to the Quartz article, the use of these sensors is costly. The price of the software they use is about 36 US dollars per desk per year (about 245 yuan), some of which is the cost of connecting the sensor to the mobile phone network. However, Herman Miller's office furniture may be the solution pursued by office managers for companies that are considering implementing an efficient, quantifiable office environment.
Live OS is new software released by Herman Miller that can use data collected by sensors embedded in desks and other office furniture.

The biggest advantage of companies using Live OS is that they can track office usage on the control panel.

On the control panel, office managers can see the most time in the office.

With a flexible seating plan, office managers can find desks that no one uses. For employees, one of Herman Miller's greatest strengths is the ability to set up personalized settings for standing desks. The user needs Herman Miller's "stand-by desk", but with the right hardware, it remembers what the user likes. Herman Miller desks start at 1600 US dollars (about 10873 yuan). Simply click on the control button on the desk and it will adjust to the user's saved location. Users can even receive reminders—for example, on the Apple Watch, reminding themselves to stand up and change their sitting posture.
Of course, even if the user sits at work, Herman Miller's Live OS software can also play a role. Herman Miller plans to release the new Aeron office chair soon - supporting its new software. The current Aeroron office chair starts at 780 US dollars (approximately RMB 5,300).
