Dell push smart desk concept
October 07, 2023
Dell presented the smart desk concept and related samples at the "Dell World" conference this week, revealing the future of digital workspace. According to Dell, this smart desk is suitable for digital artists, graphic designers, engineers, analysts and other people who want to immerse themselves in data. This smart desk uses an LCD multi-touch screen and is equipped with the same size display, such as the 5K display such as the Dell UltraSharp 27, as the second display device.
Dell said its smart desks allow application-specific buttons and controls to be closer to the user's hands. With one hand swiping through the desk, the user can call up a secondary page with commands and menus, 10 multi-touch and pen input, and support Adobe's Ink & Slide digital pen.
Dell's smart desk can save multiple desktops, users can switch and search files between different projects, and can synchronize data and files with users' ordinary computers, so that users can work in different locations.
Dell said that the current smart desk is a "concept product preview", which may mean that there is no specific production plan yet. However, the matching 27-inch 5K resolution UltraSharp 27 display will begin to accept reservations on November 13 and will ship on December 18 with a resolution of 5120 x 2880 and a price of less than $2,000.
